Working Through Changes

Our world is in a state of uncertainty. People are in a panic, in stress, in calmness, and/or in poverty.  These are difficult times for those working their way through insecurity, loss of structure, loss of a job, and loss of family. Questions abound concerning the future of the world, the future of families, and the future of COVID19. One thing is for certain, God was not surprised by any of our current circumstances. He totally understands our emotions. He has not abandoned anyone as some might think. He knows what is waiting for us on the other side of COVID19 and He is ready to walk through the present with us. Call upon His presence, His power, and His peace. He will never leave you or forsake you.

In light of current stay-at-home ordinances at home and abroad, I have been canceling events/lodging/flights for the selected dates for Mission 2020 to the Philippines. As in the USA, many people there are not working now, have no government assistance, and are in a state of daily survival. Pastors are busy seeking food provisions for their members and those in the community. The Pastors receive little to no compensation from their churches so purchasing the provisions becomes a challenge. If there are no donors helping them, they pay from their own pockets. Pray for them, their members, and those in the community. Many there think God has abandoned them. When they receive any help at all, they see a glimmer of hope.

As far as my trip, the plans are on hold indefinitely. I will certainly miss my Filipino friends. My heart is saddened when I hear pastors and members tell of the many hardships there. Please put them on your prayer list and include them as often as they come to your mind. The needs never end. Thanks to all for your prayer and financial support.

Until another time…..
