Do for one what you wish you could do for all.
Plans for Mission 2020 have started to come together. I will soon list them here. A much-needed project will be S.O.S.---Supply Our Students. When a mom or dad or both work for 220 to 400 pesos per day ($4.40-$8.00), school supplies become a major expenditure. Local churches struggle as well to purchase school supplies for children. With that in mind, I am putting out an SOS to help churches to Supply Our Students.
I am in contact with several pastors who I work with to see the number of school supplies needed, what the cost will be, and for how many students. I did not realize that students needed more than just a couple of notebooks to get started. They need one notebook for each subject. Depending on the grade, that could be six to ten notebooks per student. I am waiting to hear back from one of the pastors.
For those who are interested, this project will give an opportunity to buy school supplies for one student, five students, ten students, or all the students. Currently, the project will provide for 95 students. More students will be added when I hear from the pastor.
Another project will be to provide two community feeds. These are outreach events to provide a meal for those in the community who are unchurched or non-christians and then participate in an evangelistic service. Church members will invite their family and friends to these events.
So, if you are looking to participate in some mission causes/events, I will be sharing more about these two very soon.
